Indonesia's decline to pacify the Moro separatist movement in the Philippines is Indonesia's role in the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). In 1976, Indonesia was appointed as a mediator in the conflict between the Philippine government and the separatist movement Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). Indonesia then succeeded in facilitating negotiations between the two parties and signed a peace agreement known as the Treaty of Tripoli on December 23, 1976 in Tripoli, Libya. Indonesia's role as a mediator in the conflict is recognized and appreciated by the international community.
